Pamuk's name

So I've been asked by Pamuk to explain a little about the origin of his name.

Pamuk is named after the Turkish author Orhan Pamuk, the writer of the book Snow. If you'd like to learn more about Orhan Pamuk I suggest you check out his Wikipedia page, just click here.

Others may wanna know why I chose it or where I heard about Orhan Pamuk. The simple answer is: Borders. While working there I of course became very familiar with new and different authors and one popular author was Pamuk. After winning the Nobel Prize in 2006 he became even more popular. And his book, Snow, was constantly on sale somewhere in the store. Moreover, I had a colleague who was into all things Turkish and kept raving about him. So when Andi told me about a white kitten, I dunno how I put it together but I thought: white-snow-Pamuk. Thus, the genesis of his name.
